UI/UX, Interaction and Brand design
for news website & online store of modern furniture
HIS - furniture company and the largest community in Ukraine for professional interior and furniture designers that has more than 100,000 followers.
The main challenge was to combine two main sections on the website: the magazine/community and online store with modern furniture. And at the same time, both sections should be user-friendly, convenient to switch, and the online store must be easy for searching and ordering their furniture.
Another challenge was to create a stylish minimalistic identity that will emphasize the style of furniture.
We started with branding and logo design and after a few months, we've moved to a website that includes an online store and news website.
During the first branding design part I created 7 draft options, then I chose the best three, which I presented to the client. After the client chose the option that he liked most, I finalized the logo and started working on other branding components, such as business cards, letterheads, brochures, and other promotional materials that necessary for the brand.
The next step was website design. The main part of the client was to clearly separate the site into two main sections, that would be convenient for users with different needs.
I did research, interviews with users then began to work on the overall structure, architecture of the site, and user flow. After that, I started working on the first drafts and wireframes, and eventually developed a visual design of the sections and pages. All these stages were constantly discussed and approved with the client, in order to achieve the best result. After the client approved the desktop version, all the pages, and sections, I moved to the adaptation of the site for the mobile version.
